Shahar Binyamini | New Earth // Bolero X

New Earth looks towards the possibility of a new beginning and asks how we might inhabit a world in transformation. Moving between the familiar and the unknown, Shahar Binyamini explores the forces that connect us to the earth, to one another and to the life unfolding around us. Boundaries dissolve as movement, rhythm and physical sensation become expressions of a shared connection to the natural world. The work reflects on renewal and on the ways in which movement can reshape our relationship with ourselves, with others and with the world we inhabit. New Earth was created in collaboration with House of Dance, Be’er Sheva, Israel. In Bolero X, Shahar Binyamini reimagines Maurice Ravel’s iconic Boléro, exploring the power of repetition and the new meanings that emerge when music written in 1928 encounters the choreography of today. With 40 performers on stage, Bolero X becomes a celebration of the physical force of dance - of the energies that define us as individuals and, at the same time, draw us together as a collective. Bolero X was restaged in collaboration with House of Dance, Be’er Sheva, Israel, and the Zurich University of the Arts, Switzerland. Running time: 96 minutes, including one interval
